broken coil spring 88 e28

I have an 88 528e with a broken rear coil spring. it is broken at the very bottom the first coil winding. it doesnt seat right and i am planning to replace it. I have boge shocks on it. i dont know if it's original equipment but i suspect it is. I just bought this car for 500. anyway ....i have a question regarding the action of the car during right hand turns. In gradual turns it tends to have a slight sudden jerk to the right. Could this be happening due to the coil spring in the rear? also when replacing coil springs does it matter if it was original equipment bilstein or boge?....thanks
