Brake Noise Auto G/box

Whenever I am in Park, and then select Drive or reverse, there is a grinding/dragging noise from the brakes. This also happens when slowing to a stop, and very slowly releasing the brakes when stopped, with Drive selected.
Any ideas?

check the driveshaft assembly: universal joints; flexible disk; center bearing also is the idle too high on the car? normal idle hoovers around 7-7.5 if you idling at 900-1100 one of these components when weak will scream at you including brakes.

Remember this:
A. When idling high You need more breaks to hold the car steady!
and B. when engaging the D from P high idle translates into a shock wave through out the whole assembly. that is the rear axle and driveshaft
