The other day when I left the auto carwash, I noticed that the Brake Lining warning light was on. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the carwash, but that's when it first came on, and days later, it is still on. Two months ago, I put new front pads and rotors on that car. That's not it. Is it the brake fluid? Maybe the sensor is screwy? The rear pads are fine also because my tire guy recently pointed out to me, with the car up on the lift, that the rears were also in great shape.
Anyone have a clue on this one? It sounds kind of serious.
Thanks.

Did you replace the front wear sensor when you replaced the front pads & rotors?
Looks like you might have to check & see if the front & rear brake pad wear sensors are still attached to the brake pads........there are 2, one in the front & one in the rear.
