I get an error message at times when applying my brakes on my 525i-"see manual." This is an intermittant problem, most of the time the brakes lights work. I'm guessing it must be a sensor or relay but don't know where to look to replace it. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
What message exactly are you getting? I use to get a "Brake Light Circuit" message and it was my brake light switch. I believe that it would say "Brake Light Failure" for a burnt bulb.

Wouldn't you know when you want to check it, everythings working ok. It probably said "brake light circuit" as both bulbs are ok.
