bored out exhaust manifold

upon taking off the exhaust manifold, it wasn't really oval like there supposed to be in a perfect world. So i dremeled the surroundings as until it was all oval, took over 3 hours for all of them. I haven't had a chance to drive my car yet, but are there any performance gains from this? Thanx.

Not sure about our cars, but matching the head ports to the exhaust gasket and header to exhaust gasket does gain a little in the old-school V-8 world (i.e. my 72 Chevelle). You have to go back in the head a little to make it work, so it has a smooth transition from the shape of the exhaust port to the gasket and back out to the manifold. I hope you stuffed rags in the head to keep the metal shavings out of the motor.
