hey guys, to attempt to keep my rear bumper looking like a BMW rear bumper instead of a scraped up toyota bumper, i'm looking for some color matched spraypaint or just a gallon of paint that i can have my buddy put on.
Any suggestions as to where i wont get raped for the required ammount of paint? One spraycan theoretically could cover it, but i'm not sure how it will look.
How much paint would I need (gallons, pints, whatever it comes in) to take care of a rear bumper? How much does clearcoat cost usually?

if you get spray cans, look to spend about 25 - 29.00 per can + about $12 - 16 per can for clear coat.
You still need fine sandpaper + rubbing compound + a buffer + a cutting wheel.
Also, you'll need more than one can unless you don't really care about th elooks of your car. Even when you get color matched paint, it doesn't match because of paint-fade over the years. You should have some experience with blending and that takes more paint.
Check out www.paintscratch.com for the supplies, though.
I had to paint 75% of my car (see sig) was not a fun job :P
im no expert, but I have tinkerd around with doing minor painting and to be honest this is a bmw were talkin bout not a HONDA take it to the pro's man!

Oh painting a car isnt that hard. I did mine myself and check the sig. It actually turned out OK. not th egreatest, but while we are talking about a BMW, they are OLD. It's not worth what the pros charge anymore. It makes no sense.
