any ideas where to get the paint and how much it will cost?
A good bodyshop should have a paint-code guide for most car manufacturers, and they should be able to get the appropriate paint.
When I had my front add-on spoiler painted to match, the bodyshop brought out a really thick folder and flipped thru' the pages, then found my color code and the OEM paint brand.
a while back when i painted some parts on my car i tried looking for BMW OEM paint, went to the stealership but they told me there was no such thing, but they sent to me NAPA told me thats where they get there paint from thou when they get a car in the body shop

^^ I am certain BMW uses different OEMs to source the paint. Your paint code is in one o fthe shock pillars under the hood. Just provide that to a reputable shop, and they will be able to get it for you. If you really want to get the paint yourself, use that paintcode and www.paintscratch.com.
