Does anyone know where i can find the VIN at a E39 BMW, because i need it to access an online user's manual? used VIN=Vechicle Identification Number and it is supposed to be where the dashboard meets the windshield or near the driver's car lock, but i could not find it. Please help.

uh... insurance papers, title, bottom corner of the windshield in front of driver, open the door and there will be a sticker with it on the door next to the lock mechanism (if the door has been replaced you will get a wrong one)... pretty much allt he body parts should have it stickered on
