Hey Guys. Its about that time when a new set of (rear) tires are neccesary. I had bad ball joints that I fixed a while ago, but It ended up eating up the inner most part of my tires facing the inside of the car. I already had my mind set between Michellin PS2's or Yokohama Advan's however I need to complete another very important step. Right now Im running 235/45/17's all around on style 5 wheels and Sceptor tires. I want something more aggressive looking and ultimately wider in the rear. I was thinking about 255/45/17's , but I didnt know if these would look " beefy" enough. What do you think is the widest I can go in the rear without rubbing or rolling fenders or any work at all? thanks

Have a look at this tool for theoretical fiddling around with tire sizes, it will allow you to compare what you have with what you are considering. Wheel-Tire size comparer - WWW.RIMSNTIRES.COM
I am hanging out to fit a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta onto my E38. Have a look at Vredestein for an idea as to your options with these tires. They did pretty well in a performance tire shoot out a couple of years ago. http://www.ppba.com.au/PowercarTyreTest2007.pdf
Roadster Madness has them on his Z and he is pretty happy with them.
