BMW Belts

Just wondering, what are the types of belts available in 530i-2002, how to check them & when to replace each one?

I know the Fan belt, Alternator Belt, Serpentine belt, V belt & Gate belt …

not really sure what you are asking. newer bmws have timing chains so they dont slip on timing and that only leaves an accessories belt and an AC belt.

Hi friends

for my 2003 520i i changed the main belt of the fan on 65K KM and its easy to chek it, i found alot of cracks on it and it was time to change it, but the AC belt was Ok at the same time

There are two belts on a 530-02: The ac-belt and the main fan-belt , both are ribbed v-belts(5PK x863 and 6PK x1538)
