bmw 530i e60 - major electronics failure

Hi, I own a e60 530i '04. just recently my electronics have gone mad. Its showing a message as major electronics failure and then stays as Cruise control failure.
Funny thing is most of the time when restarting the engine it all resets. I have taken it to BMW mechanic but they have no clue.
Did software update and nothing. Just replaced a battery today but still going crazy. Old battery test under load was 8.9v

Has anyone had a similar problem. Thanks

I have exactly the same problem(520i). Mechanic replaced my dashboard and nothing happened. Can someone help? this is very annoying.
