My BMW 520i 1990 keeps getting a flat battery if I leave the car parked up for several days.
I replaced the battery but it still continues going flat. I removed one of the terminals and put an amp meter across the battery and the terminal and I can see something is pulling about 400mili-amps, I removed all the fuses and relays but its still its pulling about 400ma
anyone have any ideas what could be draining the battery while everything is supposedly turned off? How can I make further diagnosis?
Is it possible that you have a wire within the loom between the battery and fuse area that may have a slight breech in its insulation? Are you sure you've pulled all of the fuses?

Yes I pulled out all the fuses and relays and as far as I can see the battery cables have good insulation. I even completely removed the dvd player as it was not standard.
Are there by any chance more fuses located anywhere other than the engine fuse box?
