bmw 518 problems

I have a 1995 518i

I have a few problems with my speed ohmmeter it comes and goes when it wants.
The mileage clock isn’t moving and this has just happened in a last few days

also you know the senor for when you have your wipers, when you want it just below the fast wipers speed you know the one that always going at a steady pace,

that goes when my speed ohmmeter doesn’t work so its some what dangerous

I was thinking it could be a relay switch like on the wipers but where on earth does that be so if anyone can help out it would be handy
