Is There Anyone Out There Who Can Help Me Please!!!!!!
I Brought An E60 Bmw 2004 Model July 2008 As An Insurance Write Off With A Slight Scrape On The Rear Quarter Panel Nothing Major Needed A New Bumper And The Panel Beating To Bring It Back To A1 Condition.
When I Brought The Car The Airbag Light Was On And The Seller Told Me That One Of The Driver Seat Wiring Was Ripped Which I Checked And It Was, Which Could Have Set Of The Warning.
The Car Is Fixed Now And I Have Put In New Leather Seat With New Wirings Plugs So Everything Is Good Apart From The Airbag Light.
I Called Out An Specialist Who Could Not Access The Airbag Ecu Or Did Not Have The Correct Equipment So Ended Up Giving It To The Stealers.
They Rang Me Within Few Hours And Told Me It Was Fixed With A Simple Reset.
I Collected The Car And 5 Minutes Down The Road As I Adjusted The Seat The Bloody Thing Came Back On Again!!!!
I Don't Know If The Seat Had Anything To Do With It Or Was It Just A Coincidence ???
What Is Going On???
I Had To Leave The Car With Them Now Worried What Or How Much Is This Going To Cost Me As The Agent Showed Me Pages After Pages Of Fault Codes That Was Reset.
Any One Who Can Shed Some Light Would Be A Great Help.
I would say as you moved the seat, either there is still abroken wire in the loom or the connector isnt plugged in properly under the seat, this should be the only reason, as for pages of fault codes do worry, alot of the time things are fixed and the fault codes get forgotten, and are not erased and over time the list just gets bigger and bigger.
