Hello im interested in finding a code reader for my bmw 1989 525i. i found some between 40-100 bucks. really interested in if it could diag my problem. on a side note should a relay click? cuz i keep my battery disconnected when im not driving it. and when i connect the negative side. a few of the relays click on. also when i turn on my windshield wiper like with water and wipers. it stays on have to shut the car off for it to turn off.

I'd say the relevant relays need to be replaced.

Yeah thats what i thought. i found two styles muti use and some pink relays. sense i don't know what type of relays i need ill make it simple. i think although i'm not sure but i believe i need all the relays in the engine bay. starting with the two closest to the front windshield. do you have any idea on what those relays might be used for?
