I have a 2003 530i which had a bluetooth module installed after purchase by BMW. The system works ok except that people I speak with on the car's speaker phone complain that they can hardly hear me and that I sould like I am in a tunnel. BMW has been unable to fix the problem. Would changing the mic with a more sensitive pne be an option? If you have any suggestions or if you have a similar problem, please let me know. Thanks, Jon
You also might want to ask the bmw technicians to see if the mic is pointed in the right direction. If people say you sound muffled, it could be that the mic is pointed in the other direction or covered by something.

I have a 2004 530d SE Auto with bluetooth and a T610. I have 4 problems which have me engaged in a dispute with the dealer.
1) People say they can't hear me
2) I can't hear other people very well and volume level is way too low when travelling at speed. I can have the sat nav volume up so high that it's deafening but the phone output is terrible
3) I can't use the facility to transfer calls to or from the car to the handset - just doesn't work at all
4) The car often refuses to recognise the phone unless I either restart the car or the phone
Anyone else have any of the problems? I'm about to drive the car through dealer's window so any supporting material might save me having to go to jail!
