Does anyone have an opinion on what is the best way to hook up an iPod to an 04' 530i. It has the standard system with no changer. I have seen FM transmitters, wired, and bluetooth.
I would really appretiate any help I can get...the dealers I have talked to are clueless and I think I'll stay away from the Circut City recommendations!
Take a look a this thread, it is in the 3 series forum, but it will still work on a 5er. A couple of options out there, they involve plugging a "unit" into your unused factory CD changer jack. The beauty is that it pumps it into your stereo like it was the original changer, no FM modulator crap. And you can control it with your steering wheel controls. Works perfect!
hey guys...I was just wondering...would it be possible for me to take in the iPOD to the BMW delaers for them to install it so that it doesn't create any issues with regard to the warranty of the car in anyway???
we install Ipods for our customers all the time. I prefer it just because, unlike stereo shops, we don't randomly splice into wires, so there is no chance you will have problems with other things later on.
