I just got a 2005 530i with the premium, climate, and xenon lights.
Do I have a bluetooth ready car?

Can a bluetooth phone connect with it?

Your car is Bluetooth-ready, but it may not be "enabled". You can verify this yourself as follows:

1. Bring up the Information menu on iDrive (press the MENU button next to the iDriver controller and then push down on the controller).

2. Scroll down to "Communication Settings".

3. Along the upper menu bar, look for a "Bluetooth" menu option. If it's there, congratulations...you just need to pair a compatible Bluetooth phone. If there's no Bluetooth menu option, schedule a service appointment with your dealer to upgrade the car's firmware. There may or may not be a cost associated with this. To be sure, you can call a BMW customer representative ahead of time.
