robby c is an unknown quantity at this point
Just recently bought myself a 2000 528i sport, I notice when it is cold it sounds like the exhaust is blowing slightly. This only happens until the car is warmed up, or the revs drop after the choke has disengaged. After that it is fine...

Any ideas why guys?

Many thanks

Rob

Sounds like she may be running a little lean, could be bad o2 sensors, MAF etc. (also there is no choke on a car with electronic injection but I guess you mean when it reaches normal operating temp and the idle revs drop). Best bet is getting your hands on a fault code reader, taking a reading and posting the results - there's plenty of people who will be able to help you/offer advice then.

A couple of regular posters named BillB & d3ity (among others) love probs like this and no doubt will soon be givinig you a list of things to try out - try them it may be worth it.

Good luck
