ghead PLEASE HELP.
Thought i would save some money and do a sevice on my 525i E34 BMW myself.
Done the oil and filter aswell as the air filter and plugs.
Having never put any anti freeze in the car i thought i would do this so i drained the radiator by removing the bottom hose and then replaced it and refilled it and then run the car to bleed the air out.
Well to cut a long story short i couldn't do it and now it is in a garage and it has had a new radiator new water pump and the head gasket re done and it still wont bleed out and the man in the garage doesnt seem to have a clue and the bill is getting bigger.
Has anyone got any ideas at all?????

well, there is a certain procedure to bleed the air out of many e34's. The key here is a bleed screw...It should be located right next to the radiator cap.
Procedure: remove radiator cap and unscrew pressure bleed screw right next to it. (the screws under the car should be closed by now.
fill the tank with 50/50 (BMW coolant/Distilled Water) until you see bubbles come out of the pressure bleed screw. Continue this until there are no more bubbles. The whole process will get a little messy with the coolant coming out of the pressure bleed screw...but then again, the key is gettin all the air out while you refill the system. oh and the car should be off while you fill...
