Big block e28. is it possible?

Sup guys? New to the Bmw world and have a few questions. There is a local shop by me that is selling a 1986 e28 with a non running motor for $500. Since i always loved the sound of a v8 and the looks of the old BMWs, i was thinking of putting my 8-71 supercharged 454 out of my iroc into the bmw. I know i would have to change the rear end if i did so to a ford 9" but i was wondering about clearance. Will my 454 be able to fit in between the strut towers? I dont want to waist $500 for nothing if the motor wont fit.

-Drew.

Possible, as the straight-six in the E28 is quite a large lump !!
