Best Take Off With Manual

Will be taking my new ride to the 1/8th mile sprint here in Jax with a buddy (has the s13 swap in his 240sx).
What is best way to manage your take off for the best 1/8- 1/4 (or 0-60) time.
Looking for gear/rpm shift points, trac control on/off...that kind of stuff.
Dump clutch around 2200k w/trac control off seems to work pretty well...but again, I'm new to this car.
BTW- buddies car has a document 13.78 in the 1/4- I think he's going to waste me.

Do you know the track I'm talking about? I've never been here but used to take my P-car to a 1/4 in Maryland from time to time when I lived there a few yrs ago.
I know BMW's are not drag racers but it's better to see what it'll do on a track than at a stoplight.

I think I know the one you're talking about, just a short strip for drags.

I'm not sure exactly where, but a friend has told me about a track near the dog track somewhere in Jax/Orange Park, and that one is more than just a 1/8 or 1/4 mile. They have like a few minutes lap and hold races every few Sundays.

13.78.... That`s low. I`m afraid, you`ll loose. Stock 540 runs about 15.5, I don`t know about your upgrades and stuff... Lower air in rear tires (for better grip), try high octane fuel.. throw away spare tire, check manual, at what rpm`s your torque reaches maximum and drop clutch at that.. Good luck, make a video -

15.5 with auto- yes
14.0 w/ manual
Adding the CAI and Dinan software should net -.2 I hope- guess we'll find out.
Cos- That's the track (the one near the dog track) it's an 8th miler.
