After getting my rims, I noticed that it would be nice to have my car a little lower. I would love to get coilovers but the price just isn't worth it. Would a spring and shock setup be good? I would get blisten sport shocks because I have heard they are the best but what about springs? Which setup would be best? And I have heard swaybars do wonders and it is in my price range, which one would be best?
I just upgraded to 17" mille miglias - it looked a bit high so I went with Eibach Springs and Billstein shocks. Brought it down about 1.25". Looks much better.
the wheels look pretty close to the wells in the picture but with the new spring / strut combo it never rubs, even on big bumps. The tire size is 235/45-17. I think the billstein struts cost about $400-450 and the springs were close to $200-250. They both have to be removed if you replace either of them so it's best to do them at the same time.
I can understand you wanting the lowering for the Asthetics but when you talk about sway bars an stuff are YOU really going to notice the difference. If you race on it on the track AND are an experienced racer you might notice the difference, if you don't and aren't you'll never know the difference so why spend the money?
