battery dead cant get trunk open to jump the battery

hey i just picked up an 97 e39 from the auction the battery died on me i cant get the trunk open to jump the battery the keypad will not work cause the battery is dead is there anotherway to do this please help me asap thank you.

if I'm right you will have a red battery connector under your hood

Will the old fashioned key lock not work with the key?

I didn't know there were conections under the hood. Good advice.
