Atf Leak - BMW Forum

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has ever had this problem. I have noticed a burning smell in my car the last few months and looked under the hood for a sign of a leak and found that the ATF reservoir seems wet and that it might be leaking, it looks like underneath the resevoir it is wet from a dripping of atf fliuid. Now tha my 528 has over 100,00 miles on little things seem to be croping up.javascript

If your reservior is leaking a small hose under a clamp connects to the buttom of your power steering fluid reservior..check both the tip of the hose and clamp....if in doubt disconnect it, cut a small piece if the tip is cracked, replace clamp, reconnect but don't over tighten (plastic!) then refill with fresh ATF.
