My ASC light is on all the time. I replaced the ASC switch but that
did not fix the problem. I noticed that my 12V AC outlet is not
working either. I checked the ASC and 12V AC outlet fuses and they
are fine. Is there any other set of fuses in the care that I'm not aware of? ASC is supposed to activate itself every time you turn the car on. I noticed that the ACS light was on after replacing the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filters on my car, any relationship? Appreciate any comments.
Mine was on too and it was really buggin me. I did some reading to find that the ABS module is probably going to need reworked from ModuleMasters $300. So just for grins I said what the heck...I went out and bought some electrical contact cleaner disconnected the ABS harness and gave it a squirt. Also sprayed the cleaner on the pins inside the Plug. Dried it up with a paper towel and made sure it was dry. Put it back together and last night I drove the BMW to work and it snowed...traction control worked perfectly!!! Not sure how long it will last but it did work. Not saying the risk is worth it to you, but for me the $5 on the contact cleaner was perfect.
