"The sometimes-frustrating iDrive system includes Voice Control, making it easier to access the functions buried within its myriad menus. Two-stage adaptive brake lights are standard...2.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine making 192 horsepower...Other optional features include a two-piece panoramic sunroof..."
Now I don't know if a new 2.5 liter is coming out or if this is just for the Wagon, I don't think the current I-drive is Voice Operated. Can anyone confirm this, or is there another site that shows new 2005 changes?
Mr. Chris Bangle and BMW has made the five series better than ever! Today the bank and I own a new 2004 BMW 530i. I could not be any happier with its performance and handling and most of all: the looks and complements I get from all the chicks when they see it with its Xenon's on coming down the street at dusk, or when I hit the lakes boat ramp areas in the day!
If you want to wait and see the 2005s that's ok I suppose, but remember unless you are rich like my cousin Elvis was, (Jk LOL), the new 5 series could be at least 10 to 15% higher in price than the 04's! n (but hey, it's only money $$$).
I really doubt if Bangle will change anything else major on the five series until 2009 or 2011....but one never knows about Chris and his genus ways. :nana
One of my favorite features on my 2004 530i is the new iDrive system, (which makes my driving a lot easier!), But I suppose one day as the new five series gets a little more seasoned and accepted by the die hard Bimmer lovers, Chris might get a little board at the office, and he could possibly think of some ways to make it to his meetings on time! (Jk Chris LOL), and he might get the new 2004 five series approved by the FAA to be able to place a jet engine and add wings along with a rotor on the next generation of the five series, but only if one deems it necessary! ghead
Just Kidding, but seriously, after test driving and now owning this fine BMW 530i machine, I really do not see how BMW can improve on the 2004 530i very much, but I thought the same way about the 2003 530i also, (LOL).
Today I believe there is nothing that Mr. Bangle and BMW cannot do making this fine German made automobile, and designed some more driving perfection in this 2004 5 series model for us its valued customers in 2005, (when most of us paid $55,000.00 to $59,000.00 plus for the 04 530i).
But Jeff: I do wish you the best with your new 2004 or 05 five series hunt.
