Ambiant Temperature Sensor

I have a 1997 528i.

Question: Does the engine's computer use readings from the Ambiant Temperature Sensor located in front of the passenger side front tire to make adjustments to fuel/air mixture and other tuning adjustments?

No, it just reads outside temperatures.....for display on your On Board Computer.
