all the windows are rattling??????

Newbie here, help!!! Just bought a 2005 530I used with 26K from my friend a sales manager at a major BMW dealer in Atlanta. Carfax was clean; I find it odd that it seems all 4 windows, front and rear seem to be rattling when my wife or I drive; is it possible or is it bouncing the sound off of one; the noise goes away when I put all the windows down; makes me think this thing was sandwiched in a wreck....any thoughts; although as my one friend said if it was that bad not sure anyone would have paid that out of their pocket; will be looking for overspray. apron bolts repainted, etc......Dogdoc

That sucks..... what exacly it the window rattleing againest?
maybe have that dealer check it out because you just bought it from them they should check it out...

There are wiring harnesses, regulators, sound dampeners all of which can rattle if the door pannels have been taken out like in changing window regulators or putting new windows in...I agree with Alpine...take it in and have it looked at.

As everybody else said, just take it in, something is probably loose. It's pretty common in lots of models, I doubt its anything to worry about.
