All 4 windows on my e34

I have seen post about windows not going back up.I have that problem and have come to the conclusion that I need to try and replace the little plastic peices before I replace the whole regulator.But my problem may be a little more unique...all 4 of my windows started failing at the same time.I did purchase it used,but a problem was never spoke of when I did (imagine that,right).My question is has anyone ever heard of this happening? And if so,has anyone ever heard of a solution?

I would say that your relay for your electric windows is on its way out, Thats all that I can think of at the moment, as its affecting all four.

When you say failing; do you mean none of them want to move at all at the same time?

if so, check your fusible link; its in a little box on the positive cable leading away from the battery.

What I mean is that the 2 that still work (rear) go down real slow and really labor to go back up when used one at a time or in tandem.The 2 that dont work (front) did the same thing before the little plastic guides popped. I just thought it was odd that all 4 would start acting up at the exact same time.
