Alarm set indicator bulb

I'm pretty sure my car has an alarm. But I've never seen the red light indicator (that also serves as the dimmer knob) light. Has never worked.

Is it a bulb..a fuse link or what? Anyone know how to check it?

Thanks, Ron

It should be the red bulb underneath the rearview mirror. Other way to check is the siren is usually locaed behind the drivers headlight underneath the airbox.

Thanks for your reply Lord Vader. I have all that. But the light does not flash when the car is locked. Or..any other time.

Hmm. Could the bulb be out? Do you lock it with the remote or just key?

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. I use the remote. I pulled on the red cover but no go. Any idea how to check/change the bulb?

Lord Vader, Thanks for the link. Now I know exactly how it's supposed to work.
