| Hi my 1988 528e has been giving me grief lately. It seems that the airflow meter flap is freezing and the car will not start. If I take it apart I notice some ice build-up and the flap is stuck. I bring it in the house and let it warm up and it will then work fine. By the way I live in Alberta Canada and the wx can get rather cold. I put it back in the car and it will run great for a few days and then the problem reappears. My mechanic says he's never seen this before. Would any of you have any idea on what could cause this and how to fix it. I would hate to have to replace the unit as it is extremely expensive. Thanks |
