Airflow Control Problem

I am having a problem with my 99 - 528i I just had a radiator and fan clutch put in. I got it home and now when I start it the car just shuts right off my mechanic says it is some master airflow control device? Has anybody had any similar problems?

Any Help is Greatly Appreciated!

i have had similar problem, and i know the solution, though i have not done it myself (my brother actually did it in his spare time)

i believe it's actually MAF sensor, and it usually doesn't break but gets clogged... so you just gotta clean it.
don't ask me how - i didn't do it myself, but i believe it was awfully easy to do

Thank You for the Quick response!

I just got off the phone with my mechanic, he works for BMW during the day and he has his own shop that he works at night. He just picked up the Mass Airflow Sensor, 278.00 after tax with his bmw discount. He was nice enough to give it to me at cost because I just gave him 560.00 for a Radiator, fan clutch and Fan. I'll put it in tommorrow and let you guys know what happens.

Thank You Again.
