Are The Aftermarket Led Lights Same As 2001 540

Are the rear lights on the 2001 model 540’s the same as the one advertised (Celis ? ) LED? If so, wouldn’t it be less expensive to find the lights at a junkyard? Or is the problem locating them at a junkyard?

Is it a straight swap?

Brand preferences anyone?

Did it on the 97 528i and fitted front/back light without major mods. As to the parts from a wrecker? easy if you can locate one that deals with insurance co. wholesales for totally damaged cars. i.e. Flooded cars and/or theft recovery ones.
You can safe substantial $$$
