Exclamation After Battery change got error message

If its already discussed, please take me there, I could not find thats the reason I am writing this.
BMW 530I, 2005. Got battery changed, error message, 3 of them , " active steering fault, Seat Belt sign and Air Bag sign" came on. The after driving for awhile, stopped the car, went to a computer and searched and read about these errors; saw a re-initializing trick, went to try, even before I could turn the wheels to left - right, the Steering fault sign went away but the other 2 persisted. AIRBAG and SEAT BELT signs.
What should I do? Short of a visit to dealership that is!!
Thanks for advice.

Hi

The best solution is to download INPA, and buying OBD cable.

Ok so here is the deal. If this happens to anyone of you, and if you are not really an automotive engineer, that i am not for sure, then seek a mechanic, who has a computer for code detection. It took this guy, who i took the car to, may be 120 seconds to reset the computer and he charged me 40 dollars. Bmw dealership would have charged around 6-8 times more.

Moral: After changing battery in bmw, if you do get an error message that concerns safety, airbag, seat belt, steering alignment etc etc, you yourself can not fix it, you need a computer reset.

OBD cable will cost about $ 10...... and INPA free. $ 40 is awfully expensive.

I think I will start to sell in this forum cables running to the diagnosis ...

Another silly question

I am suspecting that this INPA can be downloaded and installed on any Laptop, right?
It does not require any specific machine!!

NCS program you can for example, enable or disable features in the car. There are about 100 to change, modify.
