well i failed emissions terribly and they say my catalytic converter is terrible and soo my brother told me a few weeks ago that if anything is wrong with my exhaust or suspension then i might as well upgrade well im looking into a better exhaust and i was just wondering if you would go with the dinan or is there any other ones better....thank you
If your car failed smog then it wouldnt be because of the muffler, it would have to be the catalytic converter. The Dinan mufflers are nice but as far as the Cat is concerned I recommend OEM Factory BMW cat. They are more expensive but have a much longer life than most aftermarket cats.
Also you didnt give a year or model on your car, if you do that you may get more input from other members.
o lol i didn't think of doing that...well it's a '92 525i...n im just gonna replace the whole exhaust on it like spend 900 but i was wonderin what was best...and i knew it was the catalytic i was just sayin he said if there was anything wrong just get a whole new exhaust while im there
If you failed smog because you have cat converter problem as the mechanic told you, then why are you even looking to get an exhaust? replace the cat with an OEM and you'll pass smog, there's nothing wrong with your exhaust... Well, if you really want to get a catback just for the hell of it, I'd look more to Eisanmann, sounds so nice...
yea i know alls i would have to do is replace the cats but i wanted an exhaust since i got the car and i might as well get it while the guy's under there...but thanks and sorry if i was confusing you at all
