AC failure

Few days back, while I was driving my 530-2002, the AC has stopped cooling suddenly. The fan speed was ok but the cooling was very very low. I stopped the car after I reached home & I kept it without driving for two days, thinking that it is due to AC gas that need to be filled. When I started the car after two days the AC was fine & the problem is no more their.

Any idea on what could be the cause of this problem?

I think I might start with a check of the compressor belt.

Was is really hot out? I would check the condensor and claen it to see if bugs and stuff clogged it up

It was not really hot, but just not cooling. I think the compressor belt would be the first option as stated by whiteshark ...
