Your right I don't know....I'm relying on a mechanic that I think I can trust. I didn't know mismatched tires could cause this problem but in this case the tires are the same.

This is what I would do 1st.
A. Get it hooked to a diagnostic tool, pull the code it can be as easy as front/rear speed sensor/wiring going south. Many places will perform this for free i.e. autozone.
B. Disconnect your battery (-) terminal for a while then reconnect..to reset all electronics...see what happens. But make sure you have you radio code if required
P.s. the above mismatched tires was only an example to show you this ASC button (center console) does control your traction in a mechanical and electronic sense.the latter does so by controlling/cutting your engine/throttle.
p.s. The ASC button itself goes through torture by all kind of drinks from the cup holders!!
