I HAVE A 99 540I AND ITS STUCK IN TRACTION CONTROL,,, CANT SEEM TO DISENGAGE THE TRACTION CONTROL,,

Traction contol light stays on,, and you can feel it in low gear at all times

This is a combination system that operates between split-second communication with the Gearbox, Throttle Sensor and ABS...
Try cleaning the fins on the inside of the brake discs (with a toothbrush), and check gearbox fluid/quality and maybe remove the throttle body to thoroughly clean that too...
Remove any engine sensor that you can get to and clean them too...

This is all I can suggest before you have to spend cash !!!
