My 97 528i was about to reach 90k and I have it about 3 years. I went to a mechanic and have it checked. He said everything is fine except there are minor leaks and the drive belt is kind of bad. Right after the check, there was something wired happened. Every time after complete stop, it doesn’t want to accelerate. If I press the pedal normally, there will be knocking and shaking. So I have to keep it less than 2500-3000 rpm before it reaches 30 mph, otherwise it generates noise and will give me a big shake. Also after I complete stop, I can feel my car shift forward a little bit. So I have the same mechanic checked for me. He said it’s probably the transmission. And he suggested doing a transmission flush. Anyone has the same problem or got an ideal what should I do?
Thanks!
Yeah. It's automatic.
I just got informed that it will cost me bloody $700......
I really spent like $2k after I bought it, on front wheel bearing, brake, window......
