Depressurize the fuel system first. You pull the fuel pump fuse (or relay) and turn the car over to burn the gas in the line. This will keep you from spraying as much fuel everywhere. Have plenty of ventilation and make sure that the engine is cold as fuel splashed onto a hot manifold can cause a fire. Good luck
