could any one help me with my radio code, i just got a 95 540i and the radio had a code on it.I have a new 5 number code from BMW but it doesn't work do i need to do anything other than punch the numbers in? also the key battier seems low could this have anything to do with it? any help would be great

If the radio makes a beep when you try and eneter the code it means the maximum amount of tries has been reached, leave the key in the car turned to the "ACC" position for one hour then try putting the code in again.
