94-95 V8 Question

I am not too knowledgable about BMW's. So my questions are these;

V8's are available in a 5 series correct?

94 and 95 motors are Vanos equipped?

If both of those are true, do you guys have any suggestions on where to find an engine at a reasonable price? (it's going in a 3 series and mileage isn't an issue)

dont know about the vanos part, but yes, from 94ish to 95ish, you could get either a 3l v8 or 4l v8 both m60 all alloy. Much discussed nikasil problems aside very good engines in my experience. About 220 and 290 bhp.

P.S. no, theyare not equipped with VANOS
