I have a 94 540i with 104K on it, and recently the transmission is acting wierd. It goes into gear, but when you move forward, it feels as though the brakes are on, and then after awhile, it free's up and goes fine. It shifts good, but wondering if there is some kind of switch or sensor that's causing it.
I'm getting two schools of thought on changing fluid. Some say don't, because you could be inviting trouble. Others say just the pan and filter, and still others say an entire flush. I was leaning towards just the pan and filter. Thoughts?
