'94 530iT will not start

Hi all,

My first post here. I am not new to BMWs, but new to this forum.

My Question: Is there an interlock with the ignition if the front seats are removed?

I recently purchased a '94 530iT. My 4th E34. The car is in good condition, runs great, Alusil block, all options work. Planning a 5/6-speed conversion next year. I drove the car about 100 miles with no issues. The cleanliness of the interior was deplorable and the headliner was drooping so I pulled the headliner and seats to get at everything for a real good cleaning. After having new material installed on the headliner, I have reinstalled it into car. The front seats are still out. I tried to start the car. The engine turns over, I can hear the fuel pump running, but the engine will not start. I sure hope it is because the seats are out.

Any ideas?
