94 530i hi pitched sound

Just bought this car. Has 94,000 miles. Didn't have a sound when I test drove it. Now, when I step on gas, it has a whining noise, almost like a power steering sound.

One of your accessory pumps might be low on fluid.
Possibly power steering.

If it's a whistling sound when you step on the gas,
it could be a vacuum leak, probably something like a broken oil separator.
