| 93 525i multifunction display probs
Everything else on the dashboard works fine. However, the multifunction display works fine (it displays mileage, odometer, etc correctly) when you first start the vehicle, then all hell breaks loose on the screen. It look like HAL has taken over and is computing a solution for the end of the world. It never comes back to normal. Sometimes all the lights appear across the display; sometimes dashes and symbols unknown to the human animal. This phenomena is all very random and interesting to watch.
I think there may be a loose connection since the display is capable of displaying correctly. But I just bought this BMW and I know that the alternator was just replaced. I assume it is the correct one voltage-wise (?).
Also how can I remove the cluster to test my theory? |
