I recently purchased a 1993 525i. The "brake linings" light was on when I bought it so I replaced both wear sensors and all four calipers. I found while bleeding that the drivers side front caliper does not receive fluid. Thinking that the hose may have collapsed internally I removed it from the steel line and discovered that I do not have fluid to that point either. One shop tells me I need a new ABS hydraulic unit. Another tells me I need a new master cylinder. All three other calipers receive fluid when the brakes are applied and work fine. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a proportional valve? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!
