'92 525i Stereo question

Sorry for the error, the car is a 93, PEBKAC...

The stock head unit on my "new" 93 525i is requesting the code to turn on. I entered the code as depicted on the card in my manual, and it beeps on the last number of the code and refuses to turn on. We have checked, checked again, and double checked the code, and it still doesnt work. We have also waited the customay hour between every three attempts. I'm trying to avoid having the dealer pull the stereo and charge me money to remove the head unit and retrieve the code. Thanks in advance for the help

i think it would be cheaper to get a good mp3 player insted of get the code from the dealer.

If you enter the wrong code twice, or some other confused person entered it twice, it automaticly locks you out for one hour. You have to have the key in the ignition (maybe on, I had mine running) before you are able to enter the code again. After that hope to god you entered right or else you have to wait again. Good luck

wowzor, i found another reference that said the same thing...So I did it, and killed my battery , but it's been fixed.
