Hey fellas, my old barge o' problems has been acting up again. Dead battery Monday morning, couldn't use the trick to open the doors, had to use a screwdriver to pop the hood. Replaced the battery, it was at least 4 or 5 years old and on its way out regardless so I suspected it just managed to fizzle out on its own.
However, now that things are seemingly back to normal, I can see that the window pushbuttons are staying lit up long after the car has been shut off and locked. No other lights or equipment are on. Short of pulling a fuse, what can I do to fix this? Don't need a new battery going and dying on me! Thanks in advance.
My guess is that the relay that allows a final closing of windows after the key is removed is sticking; the window switches are supposed to stay lit until a door opens so you know you can still close the windows. Obviously, after the doors are closed and locked, they should be unlit.
